The means to undo learned trauma stored in the memory banks of the mind/body is a most delicate subject. Because people do not believe they are worth the effort of taking the correct steps to heal, there is an unreasonable belief that positive thinking will somehow override false belief.This is not to say that positive thinking does not work, because it is obvious it does. What is being addressed here is that for most people, positive thinking does not offer a means to an end with any consistency. The value of the Self must begin to take center stage. Without taking into consideration the value of the Self, positive thinking becomes a way of devaluing the Self in favor of getting a physical reward. This does not honor the Self, but instead gives false value something else. This is called deception.
If consistent results are desired, there has to be a plan of action. There also has to be evidence the plan is working. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of a reality not yet beheld. Thus, the condition of faith calls on internal evidence before external evidence is realized. All internal evidence comes from the condition of peace. This is why it is important to learn how to be peaceful in the midst of turmoil. Without peace, repeating positive words to get positive results will take a very long time.
In this world internal evidence of peace is not enough for us to define reality. We want external proof before internal peace is stabilized. When we want something positive to happen, it is generally when we are in conflict. It is this conflict that sets us up for failure because conflict defines war, and war is a negative experience. Attempting to use positive affirmations to overcome a negative condition is conflict and a total lack the acknowledgment of peace to redefine the present.
Instead of thinking positive, it is easier to learn how to deny the negative condition that is preventing a positive result. Of course, this is backwards from what this world teaches. What we learn we believe, and we will support these beliefs even if they are wrong.
If we really looked at what our beliefs define, we would be able to understand that our beliefs resist the notion that we are already good enough to have what we want. Just as you cannot put a band aid on top of a festering wound and expect it to heal, is it likely it is possible to put a positive suggestion on top of a negative belief and expect a positive result? Before any healing can happen, the wound has to be healed.
The mind is the most creative force in the Universe. It is not easily fooled, and it will not accept a positive band aid on top of a gaping psychological wound. The wound has to be cleansed of all of the unhealthy trauma that has been inflicted on it.
The Plan of One Wholeness Now teaches how to cleanse an emotional trauma through forgiveness and the use of miracles. Forgiveness denies the memory of the emotional trauma, and miracles are the means to connect to a healthy New World memory. Once a miracle happens, it is no longer necessary to attempt to program the mind with positive thinking, because the miracle automatically shifts our mind into a proper frame of reference. Thus, being a victim trying to overcome past memory conditioning with positive reinforcement is unnecessary.
